Open-access principles
JGTEL follows the principle that users should receive a free, worldwide and enduring right to access and responsibly reuse scholarly work with proper attribution.
A complete version of the work, its supplementary material and the applicable permission statement should be preserved in a stable electronic format and made available through suitable repositories and scholarly infrastructure.

CC BY 4.0 licence and user rights
The journal's standard publication licence is Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.
Under CC BY 4.0, users may copy, redistribute, adapt and build upon journal content for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that authors and the original source are properly credited, the licence is identified and material changes are indicated.
Permitted reuse includes author self-archiving of submitted, accepted and published versions, text and data mining, teaching, translation and the creation of derivative works, subject to attribution and any clearly identified third-party rights.
Where a funder or institution requires an equivalent or more permissive licence, such as CC0 or a compatible open-government licence, authors should contact the editorial office before acceptance.

Third-party content
Authors are responsible for identifying photographs, illustrations, tables, audio, video, code, protocols and other content that they or their co-authors do not own.
Before publication, authors must show that such material is in the public domain, carries an open licence compatible with CC BY 4.0, or is covered by written permission allowing publication and reuse under the journal's open-access terms.
A conventional permission to reproduce may be insufficient when it restricts redistribution or derivative use. Material licensed with non-commercial, no-derivatives or share-alike restrictions may be incompatible and should be discussed with the journal before acceptance.

Why the journal supports open access
The journal regards open access and attribution-based reuse as means of widening participation in knowledge, enabling collaboration and supporting a more inclusive and sustainable scholarly ecosystem.
Unrestricted access is intended to accelerate exchange among researchers, practitioners and policymakers working on global trade, ethical responsibility and legal frameworks.
