Electronic preservation

The journal identifies the British Library as its principal repository and also uses or reports services including the Internet Archive, Zenodo and OpenAIRE.

The preservation strategy is intended to maintain access if the journal website changes or becomes temporarily unavailable and to improve discovery beyond the publisher's own platform.

The Internet Archive provides broad public digital preservation. Zenodo supports open sharing of research outputs, and OpenAIRE connects repositories and open-science records across Europe.

Author repository rights

Authors may deposit their article in any appropriate repository without embargo or journal-imposed restriction.

Deposited records must identify the Journal of Global Trade, Ethics and Law and accurately include the DOI, volume, issue, year and publication status.

Authors should link to the version of record when it is available and clearly label submitted or accepted manuscripts so readers can distinguish versions.

Preservation packages on the new platform

The rebuilt platform is designed to produce a preservation package containing article metadata, the version-of-record PDF, structured HTML, JATS XML, issue information and cryptographic checksums.

Automated deposits will be enabled only after the publisher verifies repository agreements, credentials and retention requirements. Until then, local and repository copies remain subject to documented editorial checks.
