Introducing the Journal of Global Trade, Ethics and Law

JGTEL launched as an interdisciplinary venue for rigorous scholarship on trade and its ethical, legal, political and economic dimensions.

01

A new scholarly forum

The journal was founded to create a shared forum for economists, legal scholars, political scientists, historians and researchers of business ethics.

Its central ambition is to examine how global commerce shapes institutions and communities, and how changing expectations of rights, responsibility and ethical conduct reshape trade in return.

The founding editorial structure brought together Frans Lavdari as Editor-in-Chief with an international board supporting the journal's multidisciplinary research programme.

02

The research gap

JGTEL responds to the need for scholarship that does not separate market analysis from law, politics, history and moral judgement. It welcomes work capable of showing how these dimensions interact in real institutions and global supply relationships.

03

Diamond open access

The journal was established as an open scholarly venue. Its present diamond open-access model provides immediate reader access and charges authors no article processing fee.
