Guidelines for Authors
The Journal of Global Trade, Ethics and Law (JGTEL) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the study of Global Trade, Trade Economics, Trade Policy, Trade Ethics, Trade History and International Trade Law. We welcome original, unpublished manuscripts that contribute to academic discourse and professional practice in these areas.
1. Aims and Scope
JGTEL aims to:

Provide a platform for scholarly research on trade policies, business ethics, and international law.

Publish high-quality empirical and theoretical studies that explore legal, economic, and ethical dimensions of international commerce.

Encourage submissions from scholars and practitioners in both developed and developing economies.

Foster interdisciplinary dialogue between researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals.

Promote accessible yet rigorous scholarship that appeals to a broad readership.
2. Submission Requirements

Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

Language: Manuscripts must be written in English.

Format: Submit in Microsoft Word format, using Times New Roman, 12 pt font, and 1.5 line spacing.

Length: While there is no strict word limit, articles should be concise and focused.

Manuscript Components:

Title Page: Include the manuscript title, author(s)' names, affiliations, and contact details.

Abstract: Provide a summary of up to 300 words outlining objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions.

Keywords: Include 4–8 relevant keywords.

Main Text: Clearly structured with appropriate headings and subheadings.

Acknowledgments: Recognize any financial or research support.

References: Follow the Chicago Author-Date citation style.

Tables and Figures: Number consecutively and include appropriate titles and captions.

3. Ethical Considerations

Authorship: All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research and writing of the manuscript.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

Plagiarism and Originality: Submissions will be checked for plagiarism using similarity detection software.

Research Ethics: Authors must comply with ethical research standards, including obtaining informed consent where necessary.
4. Peer Review Process

Initial Screening: The editorial team evaluates submissions for relevance and adherence to guidelines.

Double-Blind Review: Manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process with at least two independent reviewers.

Decision Process: Articles may be accepted, rejected, or returned for revision. If reviewers’ opinions diverge, a third reviewer may be consulted.

Timelines: The review process typically takes 6–8 weeks.

Revisions: Authors must submit revised manuscripts within the specified timeframe.

6. Style Guide

Use British English spelling and grammar.

Italicize non-English words and phrases where necessary.

Use single quotation marks for direct quotes and double quotation marks for quotes within quotes.

Submit tables and figures in an editable format (e.g., Excel for charts, Word for tables).
7. Copyright and Open Access Policy

Copyright: The Journal retain copyright and the right to publish the work under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.

Open Access: JGTEL follows an open-access policy, making all published articles freely available.
